Some of specific objectives of the “YouEN Group”

  • Compilation of a detailed environmental map, geo-hazards map, environmental hazards map, and a detailed geo-database of the area.

  • Compilation of detailed plans for “Management of Municipality Solid Waste” and “Management of Municipality Sewage Waters” enabling local government attract potential investors to implement and give a solution to waste issues.

  • Minimisation of environmental impacts of the tourism developing industry in the area through a detailed and thorough EIA.

  • Rehabilitation of environmental and resources

1. “YouEN Group” company consisted of 15 scientist and experts is capable to manage and solve the following components:

  • Marketing Plan “Campaign for raising the awareness of communities, business operators, and public institutions”

  • Geo-Environmental Study (coastline shifting, subsidence, landslide etc.);

  • Action Plan “Management and treatment of Hazardous Waste”;

  • Action Plan “Management and treatment of Municipality Solid Waste”;

  • Action Plan “Management and treatment of Urban Sewage Waters”;

  • Environmental Impact Assessment “Tourism Industry Development”;

  • Action Plan “Environmental Monitoring System design and implementation”;

  • Rehabilitation of existing municipal waste damping site;

  • Exploration and discoveries in hydrocarbon field;

  • Exploration and discoveries in drinkable waters;

  • Carrier and surface mining (mountains, river beds, etc)

  • Development of this components will be a cooperative endeavour involving multiple operators, all local governments within Lezha – Vlora sea coast area, community and business operators foreign partners interested in above mentioned fields.

2. The “YouEN Group” scientists and experts provide very good results by assessing the quantitative analysis of the following items:

  • geotechnical soil parameters and features;

  • geological studies (litho logical facie and sedimentary environments);

  • geomorphologic studies (soil types, relief, morphometry, land use);

  • underground water resources;

  • hydrological environment;

  • ecological resources (individual biotypes and their main habitats); environmental resources;

The results of these studies enable local government and business operators to undertake right investment decisions.

3. Implementation of the “YouEN Group” projects results in the following environmental impacts:

  • Minimization of the pollution in the sea and coast-line;

  • Rehabilitation of underground waters;

  • Rehabilitation of biodiversity elements;

  • Recuperation of woodland areas

4. The activity description

1. The topographic surveying of the selected area with the GIS, palmtop, soft, arc pad equipment, doing also the respective adjournment in scale 1:2000;

2    The geological surveying of the selected area;

3.   The hydrogeology survey;

4.   The electrometric survey of the selected area;

5.   The shallow seismic survey, treatment of seismic cross sections and their interpretation;

6.   Getting cores for:

  • Soil geo chemical analyses,

  • Water physical- chemic analyses,

  • Water geo chemical analyses,

  • Cores geo technical analyses,

7.    Drawing up a list of probably five potential sites for the secure hazardous waste dumping;

8.    Drawing up a list of probably three sites for the waste water treatment with the natural lagoons method;

9.    Drawing up the appropriate technologies for hazardous waste, solid waste and waste waters treatment;

10.  The pretreatment, collection and disposal of hazardous waste, solid waste and wastewaters, geo risks and Environment Impact Assessment cost analyses for all existing technologies and for them that will be implemented;

11.  The schema, graphic map, curve, cross sections of geo risks interactions parameters (sea level changes, subsidence, tectonic fault, seismic activity, etc.), of soil, and water parameters;

12.  The shallow drilling achievement for samples, cores, facie lithologic evaluation and drinking water reserves assessment;

13.  Public awareness, the tender dossier, assistance during procurement and application for subprojects;

14.  Drawing up the final monitoring report and manual.
