YouEN GROUP

 

You-En is a non-profit youth organization in Albania. You-En started to function in 2004 as part of MENV Group, to be identifyed later as the youth department of this organization, originally known as the European Ecological Youth Alliance, further changed in 2013 the name , mission and structure. You-En name comes from the acronym of the words in English Youth and Environment. However full name is not in use. In its basic function, You-En is focused on the use of practices of non-formal education.

 

You-En is a nonprofit organization, which produces various platforms for environmental issues and youth activism in voluntary projects, to improve the environment in Albania. You-En Organization has taken this name on 1 November 2013 and since then has been engaged in various training projects and providing viable ideas to improve the environment and adding knowledge about it through youth activation .You-En is constantly activated in creating methodologies and different policies for youth involvement. You-En operates in the field of exchange of ideas and cultures, taking the best of everyone who is willing to contribute through new and innovative ideas in order to accomplish its mission.

 

You-En aims to be a leading organization in some areas and issues such as youth organized structure, model of function, the promotion of the concept of volunteerism in Albanian regarding youth and environmental issues.

 

You-En operates with a horizontal and comprehensive structure. In this structure is included the general coordinator, head-unit for each department and other staff members. You-En has four departments which are: Marketing and Public Relations, Human Resources, Project Management and the Department of Arts. Each department is headed by a head-unit and has its own team. General Coordinator manages, delegates work and distributes it in every department. Volunteers engage through a structure different from that of the staff. Their structure is through Youthful leader who administrates a maximum of 5 volunteers. Each volunteer goes through several levels and steps until he/she  becomes part of the You-En team.
